Traditional Handmade Lokta Paper
Lokta paper, also known as Nepali paper, comes from the fibrous inner bark of the Lokta bush (Daphne bhoula or Daphne papyracea), a shrub that grows wild in the Himalayan mountains between 6,500 and 10,000 feet. Because the bush regrows repeatedly after pruning, artisans consider Lokta one of the most eco-friendly papers available. Its strong fibers give it durability and a soft, luscious feel, and the paper resists germs and insects well enough that Nepal has relied on it for generations as its national paper, used in legal documents, land registry forms and manuscripts.
Perfect For
- Personalized stationery and artwork
- Printing with a laser jet or inkjet printer
- Scrapbooking and mixed-media crafts
- Gift wrapping and packaging accents
Five Color Options
Because this pack spans five distinct looks, from the bright warmth of Yellows to the deep tones of Reds and Blues Mixed, plus a natural Plain option, you can match the paper to a specific project instead of settling for a single fixed color. We recommend testing one sheet in your printer first, since results can vary slightly by printer model and paper thickness.

- Handmade in Nepal: Made by village artisans from sustainable Lokta bark.
- Eco-friendly and tree-free: Acid-free and long-lasting.
- Printer compatible: Works with both laser and inkjet printers.
