Artisans in Nepal hand-roll each wool felt ball from natural fiber using azo-free dyes, then shape and firm it entirely by hand rather than by machine. Because they’re 100% wool, the balls hold their shape well and can be trimmed, threaded or glued without unraveling.

Working With Felt Balls
