Illuminate Your Space with Handmade Lokta Paper Lampshades

Unique Craftsmanship from the Himalayas

Our Handmade Lokta Paper Lampshades are crafted with love by talented artisans in the Himalayas region of Nepal. Each lampshade is a reflection of traditional craftsmanship, made from Lokta paper, also known as Nepali Kagaj. The beautiful art of creating Lokta paper has been passed down through generations, ensuring that these shades are not only functional but also a piece of heritage.

Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Materials

Handmade using natural materials, our Lokta lampshades are made from the fibrous bark of the Daphne cannabina, which grows at high altitudes. The process of making Lokta paper involves boiling and beating the bark with wooden mallets to produce a pulp. Once formed, the pulp is poured into wooden frames and sun-dried, creating a strong and attractive paper.

These acid-free papers are produced without electricity and without causing any tree destruction, making them an eco-friendly choice for your home decor.
